17 stand-alone villas and suites on a 14-acre working tea estate on a ridge above Koggala Lake, about 5 km inland from the south coast and 25 minutes by road from Galle Fort.

The British interior designer George Cooper bought the land in 1999 and furnished each villa with antiques and art; 13 of them have their own plunge pool.

The estate also grows cinnamon, herbs, fruit and vegetables for the kitchen, and the hotel takes guests aged 12 and over only.
