A tented lodge of 28 suites on the beach at Palatupana, at the edge of Yala National Park, and a member of Relais & Châteaux.

The suites are canvas cocoons with vaulted ceilings, copper bathtubs and private viewing decks, several with their own plunge pool.

The stay is all-inclusive, with a guided game drive included for each night, and Sri Lankan cooking served in a pavilion above the sea or set up on the beach and the dunes.

Good to know

All-inclusive: meals and a guided game drive for each night are part of the stay.
Children are welcome: a Cocoon suite takes up to 2 children, and the Family Cocoon Pool Suite is suggested for children aged 10 and over.
A limited number of rooms for chauffeurs is kept, with meals, at no charge.
Yala National Park closes Blocks 1 and 2 for part of each dry season, usually for about a month from September, with dates set each year; safaris then run in other blocks or at Lunugamvehera.
