A tented safari camp on the edge of Yala National Park, run by Leopard Trails, who also keep a camp at Wilpattu.

The tents are canvas with air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, from 300 sq ft Deluxe Tents to 700 sq ft suites with a plunge pool or a raised deck over the water.

Stays are all-inclusive of game drives, meals and drinks, and the camp holds no more than 12 to 15 guests at a time.

Good to know

  • All-inclusive: game drives, meals and drinks are part of the stay.
  • Families and young children are welcome; extra beds and cots fit in the tents, and the Lake Suites have ramps for wheelchairs.
  • Up to 6 guests share a safari vehicle unless a private vehicle is arranged.
  • There is no laundry service at the camp, and mobile signal is patchy.
  • Yala National Park closes Blocks 1 and 2 for part of each dry season, usually for about a month from September, with dates set each year; safaris then run in other blocks or at Lunugamvehera.
