A resort of 42 rooms, suites and villas at Palatupana, beside Yala National Park and above the Indian Ocean, opened by Hilton on 31 August 2023.

Every room has its own water: plunge pools on the ground floor and hot tubs above, with 14 Premium Pool Villas of 175 sq m at the top of the range.

Game drives run twice a day with rangers trained locally, and the resort runs a wildlife research programme with 2 Sri Lankan conservation bodies.

Yala National Park closes Blocks 1 and 2 for part of each dry season, usually for about a month from September, with dates set each year; safaris then run in other blocks or at Lunugamvehera.
