A restored Georgian-style country house from 1875 on 6 acres of gardens in the town of Nuwara Eliya, close to the golf club and racecourse.

Rooms keep antique furniture on timber floors and every one has its own heater; the suites have four-poster beds.

Its Road Hole Bar is laid out as a British pub with an open fire, and the snooker room holds a table over a century old, among the oldest in Sri Lanka.
