A 19th-century tea factory on the Hethersett Estate at Kandapola, converted into a 50-room hotel above 2,000 m with its original machinery still in working order.

Guests pluck their own leaf with the estate's tea pluckers, taste with a professional taster and see it made in a small working factory on the grounds.

Dinner can be taken in TCK 6685, a restored teak railway carriage, and the Goatfell bar serves the estate's own teas.
