A privately owned hotel of 16 rooms and suites, open since 2010, on a rise between the wild Rekawa beach, a nesting ground for sea turtles, and the mangrove-fringed Rekawa Lagoon.

Its bold yellow, blue and green buildings sit around a 33-metre infinity pool with a swim-up bar and the open-air Oceanfront restaurant, with a second 12-metre pool in the garden.

The owners call it half hotel, half homestay: it is run by a staff of about 50 from the surrounding villages, and suits couples and small groups rather than young families.
