Life centres on a main bungalow with the restaurant, bar and an infinity pool, while a garden-to-table dinner, a tea pavilion and a spa with Ayurvedic and Balinese treatments fill the days.

Butlers on call through an iPad in each villa arrange everything from in-villa dining to cycling tours and nature walks across the estate's tea, spice gardens and rice paddy.

Good to know

  • The main infinity pool is for guests aged 12 and over; there are no childcare facilities.
  • Hillside terrain with stepped access: 1 villa is wheelchair accessible, but the resort suits guests with limited mobility poorly.
  • About 40 minutes' drive from Kandy station and about 3 hours from Colombo airport.
  • Check-in from 14:00, check-out 11:00.
