The former Mohotti Walauwe, a colonial ancestral home dating to 1880 that Geoffrey Bawa remodelled into one of Sri Lanka's first boutique hotels.

KK Collection took over its management in 2021 and renovated it in pastel colours and Indian fabrics, with work by Sri Lankan artists on the walls, all for sale.

It has 14 rooms and suites in wide lawns, a long pool and a children's courtyard pool, a spa built on Hela Wedakama, and a sandy path under the palms to the beach.
