A resort built on Geoffrey Bawa's design between the Bentota river and the ocean, with open courtyards, framed views and tropical gardens.

It has 159 rooms and 16 themed suites, and keeps or recreates the original 1967 artworks: Ena de Silva's batik ceiling, Barbara Sansoni's handloom ceiling and Laki Senanayake's brass peacock by the stairs.

Guests have a pool with a swim-up bar, 5 restaurants and bars, the Kurundu spa, a kids' club and private dinners on a deck over the river.
