6 suites in an 1880 planter's bungalow on the 252-acre Halloowella tea estate at Norwood, once owned by Major Elton Lane, a First World War Royal Air Force pilot.

Restored by Uga with the architect Channa Daswatte, it keeps a wood-panelled drawing room and four-poster beds, and adds a 17 m infinity pool looking over the tea country.

It is run all-inclusive with butler service, and the stay includes a tea factory visit and a Sri Lankan afternoon tea.
