A modern tea bungalow with 5 bedrooms on the Dunkeld Estate, looking down the Castlereagh reservoir and across tea-covered hills to the Peak Ridge Forest.

It was built in 2017 by the family who kept this piece of the estate, to a design by the environmental architect Sunela Jayawardene, and is run all-inclusive by Teardrop Hotels.

Guests can go out on the reservoir in a fisherman's canoe, walk stages 7 and 8 of the Pekoe Trail, and arrive by seaplane landing on the water below.

Good to know

  • Tea factory visits are at 16:00 and not on Sundays, public holidays or estate holidays.
